How does the Secret Santa generator work?

Paste the names of everyone taking part, add an optional budget, date and pairs who shouldn't draw each other, then press Draw. Each person gets their own private link that shows only who they're buying a gift for.

Can the organizer see who got who?

The organizer could open the links to see the pairs if they wanted to, because the links are created on their device. If you want the organizer to stay surprised too, use the links without opening them, or use pass-the-phone mode.

Are names stored on your servers?

No. The draw runs in your browser and each match is stored inside the private link itself (after the # sign), which browsers never send to a server. Names are not sent to analytics either.

Can I stop couples drawing each other?

Yes. Add a line like 'Anna - Ben' in the 'can't draw each other' box. If the rules make a draw impossible, you'll see a clear message so you can relax one of them.

What if someone loses their link?

Your last draw's links are kept on the device you used. Open this page again on that device and resend the link to that person.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free with no signup and no emails needed.
